Williamson County, Texas Emergency Services District #11 Shenandoah

Meetings are generally held the 2nd Tuesday every month at 6:00 p.m. at 3003 Blue Ridge Dr., Cedar Park, Texas.

This is Shenandoah Baptist Church, in the prayer room of the main church building.

Note: For any decisions of this meeting to be incontestably binding, the official agenda announcement for any upcoming meeting shall be posted and made continually available outside the Williamson County Courthouse, for a minimum of 3 days in advance of this monthly board meeting. Meetings to adopt a budget and tax rate will be posted 7 days in advance.

Your board requires 5 members serving staggered 2 year terms to continue operation. We are always recruiting neighbors willing to sit on the board.

It’s fun, not hard work, and it matters. As a result of some great organizational efforts, and initial hard work, from the original board (big kudos to former board member Evelyn Brengle for being the backbone of “get it done”) the monthly meetings are quick and effective as we follow a simple checklist. Usually less than an hour, the only “long” meetings are the once a year budgeting, and even that is typically less than 2 hours.

You literally can’t find better grass-roots experience in how your government can correctly operate in this democratic republic. You’ll learn a lot, and serve your neighbors.

If you’d like to learn more, feel free to contact any of the board members. If you’ve heard enough and are ready to submit your resume, it’s as easy as emailing it to Wilco Commissioner Terry Cook’s office Email Terry Cook

Thanks!
